A well-organized pamphlet that attracts the eye and
contains simple to read and informative information that the mind can retain is
beneficial when presenting at workshops or as a resource tool for parents.

Choose a childhood behavioral disorder that you would
like to provide information on to a parent and provide the following
information in a pamphlet:

·       
Diagnosis

·       
Definition of the diagnosis

·       
Description of signs and symptoms

·       
Medications used to treat the
diagnosis.

·       
One resource group or community
agency that a parent could access for assistance. (Example – Center for Autism
Supports/you must also include phone number and website)

·       
One resource the parent could attend
that would offer an alternative method of assistance (example – Healing Hooves
Equine Therapy/you must also include phone number and website)

·       
Description of deficits to child’s
daily living and/or social skills that may be affected by this diagnosis.

·       
One agency that provides family
supports and include phone number and website (Must  be from     Canada Ottawa)

You will be
graded on all content listed above being presented in quick and easy manners
that stand out and would make a parent wish to take action steps to contacting
the resources contained in your pamphlet. Marks will be lost for missing items.
Some examples are conduct disorder or oppositional defiant disorder. There is
other childhood behavioral diagnosis, please inform your instructor which you
are choosing.
