Discussion # 3

Module #3: Climate Change: Kiribati and Me! DiscussionBackground:
Low-lying island nations are described as canaries in the coal mine with respect to climate change. Take a look at the following documentary, and consider how Kiribati is affected and responding to climate change as compared to South Florida, in the U.S. (the central case study for chapter 14 in your textbook).

Also, you may find the former Kiribati President’s interview enlightening. (Links to an external site.)
After watching the documentary, and reviewing your textbook, participate in the discussion that follows. I’m interested to hear your thoughts! : )
So, it’s been a while since you all have had an opportunity to share your thoughts/insights with me and your classmates. Let’s take this opportunity to do so with respect to a very important topic, climate change and its impacts on humans and our environment.
Instructions:
In this discussion, please share your responses to all four (3) of the following prompts (hint, hint… it’s helpful if you copy and paste these questions into your assignment responses):
1. What revealing account of an individual person was most meaningful/memorable/impactful to you in the film?
2. What was it about that person’s story/account made it stand out to you?
3. How do you imagine you (and perhaps your family/loved ones) would react when faced with the same/similar circumstances?
