Ethnic

Draw on an anthropological understanding of ethnicity –as a constructed identity– to
reflect on the role of ethnicity in your own life. Write a post (250-500 words) about your own ethnic identity.
How did it develop? Has it changed over time? If you do not think of yourself as having a strong ethnic identity,
why do you think that is the case? Either way, consider the relationship between your own ethnic identity (or
lack of) and your nation-state; how do they intersect? What concepts from the chapter or the lecture can you
use to support your ideas? (Make sure to use at least one)
