Based
on your extensive knowledge of criminal justice and corrections,
Governor Otter has appointed you to serve as a special consultant to the
Idaho Department of Correction. In this role, you will look at the
current correction system in Idaho. Then using your knowledge from this
course, recommend changes that should be made to the current system.
You can review information about the Idaho Department of Correction on their webpage (http://www.idoc.idaho.gov/).
Your paper should summarize the current Idaho Correction system, and
use information from the text to discuss the current system.
Then,
using information from the text, you should make three recommendations
on what improvements could be made in the current system. You need to
make reference back to the text regarding your recommendations (i.e.
don’t just make a recommendation because you think it sounds like a good
idea, it needs to be based in fact from the text).
You can make suggestions based on the state presentations you viewed this semester.  
This paper should be 3 pages in length, double spaced. This paper is worth 50 points. No late papers will be accepted.
