Communication project

The
report has both written and oral parts. The written report includes an overview
of a key segment of the communications industry that examines different
occupations within that industry. The group as a whole writes this part. In
addition, each member of the group must interview someone who is in the group’s
selected segment of the communications industry. The interview can be a long­time
veteran, such as an individual who is a senior vice president of a marketing
company or public relations firm. It also may include someone just starting
out, such as a Morgan student who served as an intern with a local radio station.
Students also can interview faculty members who currently work in the communications
industry besides teaching or formerly worked in the industry. The instructor
will also help students in finding interview candidates. To earn an A, the
group must present an informal oral summary of their report and highlights from
their interviews. Students will receive more details on what information should
be included in the report. They also will get a list of questions to help
conduct the interview. Students will need to clear their choice of occupation
with me.
