Discussion topics will be assigned by module and open during the time the module is being covered.   All original posting in discussions should be 300-400 words long, using at least one properly cited outside source in addition to the text. The content of your discussion should reflect the application of concepts learned in the module.  Postings are expected to be your original thought including examples that illustrate the topic being discussed.  After you have posted, you must read and comment on at least one other classmate’s posting.  This reply should be substantive, not limited to simple comments such as, “I agree,” or “I enjoyed your post.”  Please see the rubric included in each discussion before posting.
After reading Chapter 8, Tapping into Global Markets, look into the differences between two different markets (choose one of the pairs listed at the end) that corporate companies need to keep in mind in those particular markets when promoting the same line of products.  An example would be a car manufacturer in Saudi Arabia vs Denmark.  In Saudi Arabia, women have just recently been granted the right to drive.  It is a conservative culture, therefore, advertising showing women driving or women on the beach would not be acceptable, but in Denmark, where the culture is more liberal, these types of ads would be perfectly fine. 
Choose one pair of countries below; identify a product and come up with three differences in promotional strategies.  Share your findings on the discussion board by the due date.
