Pick any one topic discusses in your textbook.
Find a journal article on that topic.  A journal article is an article published in a professional journal.  You can find a journal article by going to the library and doing a search under the journal tab.  You have to find a journal article.  You may not use an article on a web site.  You cannot use an article that you used for your essay.
Write a minimum two page summary of the article.  You will want to give a good summary of the subject of the article, the research done, and the conclusions. 
Include your opinion of the article and whether or not you think it is relevant and adds to our knowledge about the topic.
Your paper should include the following:
Two page, well written, logical and organized summary of the article that includes a short section that includes your opinion.
Make sure it is double spaced and uses 12 point font.
Include a reference section with an APA formatted reference to the article. 
You can upload it to the extra credit assignment area in course den.
The due date is July 21.  No late paper will be accepted.
 
GRADING RUBRIC
CONTENT:  UP TO 8 POINTS
              You will be awarded up to 8 points for the content which will be based on the following:
 Topic related to course content
Quality of summary of article
           You will be awarded up to 2 points for format and quality of writing which will be based on the following:
 Spelling and grammar
Length requirements
12 point font double spaced
APA formatted reference page
