Dream/Henry IV, Part One, II/Twelfth Night/Othello/Richard II/Measure for Measure

Section A:

Select three (3) of the following passages and in each case evaluate its importance in the play as a whole.  Pay attention to the language, important images and rhetorical devices, its role in furthering the plot and/or developing relationships, and anything else that strikes you as interesting and/or important.  Your response to to each passage should be one, or at most two, paragraphs in length.

Section B:

Select two of the following speeches and write an analysis of each that shows how it serves to advance our understanding of the character.  Again, pay attention to the language, important images, rhetorical devices, etc., but consider also its dramatic potential.  If you were directing an actor, what instructions would you give them about what to emphasise, what kind of emotion to convey, and so on?  Each answer should be 2 paragraphs in length.
