For each of the following abnormal urine tests
write a full explanation of what is wrong with the patient.   Describe the disease/disorder, how you know
that is the correct diagnosis, and specifically what the patient should do
about it. Discuss the patient’s prognosis.   If you can’t make a diagnosis explain what
further information you would like and why you would like that
information.  
 
Patient A- Patient is a 35 year old female,
pregnant and in her 35 week.   She is complaining of headaches, and general
‘sick’ feeling. You have found excess protein in the urine.  
 
Patient B- Patient is a 56 year old overweight
male.   You have found excess
sugar in the urine.
 
Patient C- Patient has come in for a drug
test, you have found no salts or urea detected, the urine is clear of everything.  
 
Patient D- Patient has come in for a routine
urinalysis. You have found high levels of ketones in the urine.
 
Patient E- Patient is complaining of back pain
and burning during urination. You find crystals in urine.
