Introduce your piece:
The piece I chose for this presentation is a piece of pop music entitled “Good Old Days” and performed by Macklemore feat. Kesha. Both of them are also the ones who wrote this song. It features stripped-down drums, piano, and vocal loops, and this song has an upbeat and appealing tone. Some parts of this song contain rap along with its simple yet absolutely relatable lyrics, which makes it even more engaging to the listeners. Additionally, it was released last September 17, 2019, and this song is all about remembering the good old days you had in your past and reflecting on the mistakes you’ve done before. Also, what makes it unique is that it could make you feel grateful and sad at the same time because of the message that every word of this music speaks out.

And now, let me present to you the music entitled “Good old Days”

(Fourth audio – must be 1 minute or 55 seconds)
Why you like the piece:
The reason why I like this piece is because this song means so much to me since it reminds me of the remarkable scenarios I had in the past. Some of them are happy memories, but the sad ones will always find their place in my flashbacks. Nonetheless, remembering those good old days through this song are the ones that molded who I am today, which makes me treasure more all the experiences I had since when I was a child. It seems like this song expresses my unspoken thoughts, which makes it so much more relatable on my part. Besides, whenever I listen to this song, I feel like I am literally going back to the days where I used to have good times and good people around. However, it also gives me a feeling of regret for the opportunities I wasted in the past, which supposedly could help me grow as a person. Meaning, this music actually hit me on a deeper emotional level, but don’t get me wrong, I love everything about it; the tune, the singers, the lyrics, the instruments used, and most especially, the message it conveys.

That’s all for my presentation. Thank you for listening and I hope that you enjoyed it. Bye!
