Complete your Module 2 Assignment by the end of Week 2.

Financial management and budgets are usually areas in which new nurse managers lack experience.

For this assignment, you will design a 1- to 2-page educational packet for a new nurse manager for orientation to basic financial management concepts used in healthcare.

Step 1. Identify
Identify important financial terminology a new nurse manager must know. Define each term with examples specific to healthcare.

Step 2. List
List and define the key tasks the nurse manager will perform with regard to financial responsibilities. Include titles of individuals and departments with whom the nurse manager will interact in performance of those tasks.

Step 3. Reference
Reference at least 4 job aids, training tools, and/or technology resources to assist the new nurse manager in fulfilling financial responsibilities.

Step 4. Design
Design a user-friendly 1- to 2-page educational packet (not counting reference page) integrating your work from Steps 1-3.

Step 5. Submit
Submit your 1-to 2-page educational packet with a visually appealing title page and an APA-formatted reference page.
