Public Health and Health Care Project: Cost, Quality and Access

This is the first assignment in The Public Health and Health Care Project, a three-part writing-intensive paper examining the effects of policy and financing on public health. The final paper is a culmination of these assignments.
In order to protect and improve the health of communities, public health professionals must understand the effects of cost, quality, and access to health care. For this assignment, you will explore these relationships and evaluate the general impact these have on health care and public health. You will also select a health care or public health topic for your project and discuss the specific impact of cost, quality, and access as it pertains to this topic.
In 750-1,000 words, address the following:
Describe the relationship among health care cost, quality of care, and access to service.
Discuss some of the factors that contribute to the high cost and unequal access to health care in the United States.
Select a health care or public health topic that interests you. Describe the issue and discuss the role and impact of cost, quality, and access for your chosen topic.
You are required to cite to a minimum of three sources to complete this assignment. Sources must be published within the last 5 years and appropriate for the assignment criteria and public health content.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, APA Style 7th Edition. An abstract is not required.
